I love your getting back together video. I have been with my partner for nearly 5 years its been off again on again. And at the moment off again. Its hard and draining like you said l feel I don’t communicate and feel ignored which makes me moody and grumpy towards my partner. And then he breaks it off again. I try to talk to him about it but he just thinks it will be the same again. I feel like I’m always doing something wrong and fear he will always leave if I express how I feel but when I try to communicate he tells me his too busy or doesn’t have time so I shut down and bottel things up. I make silly excuse why I’m so moody instead of telling him how I’m really feeling or what my problem is. We do have and age gap 12yrs different could this be the problem

HI Tara, Thank you for the feedback about the video and for sharing your experience. It’s a tricky situation. How are things now? Are you back on or still off? Whether this relationship works or not it’s important that you find he courage to talk about how you feel rather than being moody or passive aggressive. If when you do try to talk and you do so in a graceful way, and he often shuts you down, then you need to ask if you both value the same things. It seems that you need to work out what’s really going on here – is the issue your inability to communicate your feelings and engage in a healthy open discussion, or does he really not want to hear you and you are therefore acting out (i.e. being moody). Regarding the age gap – this does not need to be a huge issue.
